In a world flooded with mass production, cheap materials, and AI-generated art, finding a gift that’s truly meaningful, personal, and original has indeed become a challenge!
That’s why a custom Family Crest or Coat of Arms makes such a special and one-of-a-kind gift.
They are not just decorative, they are a personalized work of art that reflects the recipients’ unique characters, heritage and passions, and it can include pets!
Historical Significance
Coats of arms and family crests trace back to medieval times, when they served as symbols of identity, legacy, and honor.
Individual knights, noble families, and organizations used them to represent their values, heritage, and achievements. Each element had meaning, from the animals and colors to the shields and mottos, making them a deeply personal mark of distinction.
Today, if we wish we can make these custom designs even more personal, incorporating modern meanings alongside tradition. A new design can include complex concepts, modern aesthetics, personal history, hobbies, furry or feathery companions, and we artists can experiment with all kinds of styles!

And while the symbols can retain their traditional meanings, we can also use representations more in line with our times. For example horses used to portray mainly strength, speed and intellect, today, their inclusion in designs also represents freedom, beauty, elegance and grace.
Likewise, trees, which were less common in medieval heraldry, originally stood for strength, virtue, and/or peace, these days they are also requested because they symbolize family, stability, wisdom, longevity, spirituality, and interconnectedness, as well as our love for nature and environmental values.
